Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright and City Sanitation Commissioner Ed Grayson joined forces to mark the return Sunday of the highly popular “Community Shred-a-thon” after a one-year absence during the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 150 residents took advantage of the free service offered at John Jay Park. The service provides a safe and secure way to dispose of paper documents containing personal information and carries environmental benefits as well as shredded paper collected for recycling.
