Two Sundays ago, a 25-year-old Brownsville resident named Julius Richard stopped by the apartment of a 26-year-old woman. They knew each other, but it was unclear how. Did they work together? Did they meet at a party? Had they been friends since childhood? Who knows? In any case, the connection must have been pretty strong-at least in Richard's mind-because according to reports, he allegedly stopped by under the impression that he and the woman would be having sex.

This might have been perfectly innocent on his part. The two might have been dating. On the other hand, he might've just been a creepy stalker who woke up with that crazy notion in his head. Again, we just don't know. We do know, however, that no matter what he was thinking, the woman had no interest whatsoever in having sex with him, and allegedly told him to get out. Well, this didn't sit well with Richard. Came all the way over there for nothing? That's not very friendly. So in his frustration (or a misguided attempt to impress her), he reportedly grabbed a handy can of Pledge and sprayed it right in her face. Then he ran away. (It's pretty pathetic if you think about it.) The woman, who was a little polished but otherwise unhurt, called the police and told them all they needed to know to find Richard. He's now facing some pitiful assault and menacing charges.
