Dig That Crazy Diabetic!

Some months back, 64-year-old Wildred Austin, Jr. was asked not to return to the Long Island City dialysis clinic he'd been frequenting. It seems he'd threatened to stab several employees, and so they agreed that if he hated it there so much, he could take his diabetes someplace else.

And for awhile he did-until Labor Day afternoon, anyway, when he allegedly came back and asked to see several employees by name, but when that didn't happen, he settled for allegedly shooting one 40-year-old female staffer in the belly, said "hey" to a fellow patient and split.

The victim survived, and police arrested Austin a few hours later after spotting him near a subway station. I'm curious, though: Just where has he been getting his dialysis these last few months?
