An early-morning fire broke out in an East Harlem residential building located at East 117th Street & 2nd Avenue on Sunday, Feb. 2, the FDNY confirmed. Three people—two civilians and a firefighter—suffered minor injuries. The civilians were taken to the nearby Metropolitan Hospital, while the firefighter was treated at Weill Cornell Medical. A cause remains under investigation by fire marshals.

The blaze began on the sixth floor of the building at around 5:04 a.m., the FDNY told told Straus News, and took until 6:10 a.m. to get under control. It’s unclear how many firefighting or EMS units responded to the scene. Footage of the fire captured by ABC7 showed the FDNY battling significant flames emanating from a window.

A separate fire broke out on the 2nd floor of a building 20 blocks north on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd.–between W. 136th St. & W. 137th St.–later that day, just before 6 p.m. A total of 12 firefighting and EMS units, or 60 personnel, responded. The fire was under control by 6:46 p.m., and no injuries were reported.
