Some Senior Haikus Letters

    A reader, Ellen Diamond, sent us these haikus after reading our “Graying New York” series about senior New Yorkers:

    Impatient girl-child

    if you‘d waited one more breath

    I’d have stepped aside

    How can I resist

    leafy paths on autumn days?

    O, my ancient feet!

    Seasons of her age

    rest upon her wrinkled arm;

    in his hand, her pulse.
