More than 2,300 city teens enjoyed a Friday evening at The Met Fifth Avenue June 1, participating in workshops, performances, art making, demonstrations, photography and other activities as part of “Teens Take The Met!”

The biannual event partners teens from all five boroughs with more than 40 youth and cultural organizations, offering arts and cultural activities, including some addressing social justice issues such as teen mental health and the #MeToo movement.

Teens from The Met’s high school internship program as well as from partner organizations play an instrumental role in the event’s planning, creating a dynamic night for teens, by teens. “Teens Take The Met!” is free for all teens with a middle school or high school ID. The next “Teens Take The Met!” event is scheduled for November 9.
