MAN OF LA MUNCHIES

| 16 Feb 2015 | 06:45

Ever find yourself wondering aloud, "Say, what do you suppose Don Quixote ate for lunch?" Well, dummy, it's right there in the book, if you'd just open your eyes. During Dining With Don Quixote, cookbook author and Spanish food historian Janet Mendel will lecture on the kinds of things Quixote ate to keep his strength up at that age, and how those various dishes have evolved in La Mancha over the centuries. A reception follows in the garden, but you probably shouldn't count on the roasted steer stuffed with suckling pigs.
