Thank you Mr. Patel. A resident thanks a postman who faithfully delivered mail for nearly 20 years.

Thank you, Mr. Patel.

“Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.”

---Post Office Motto

This motto rings especially true in todays’ world of climate extremes. For close to 20 years, my building has been lucky to be situated on the route of mailman, Mr. Patel. With a smile and encouraging word, between the hours of 2 to 3 p.m., we could always depend on his accurate delivery of our ever decreasing (yet anxiously awaited!) letters, catalogues, and bills.

So very few things can be depended on these days, that it truly came as a blessing to know that one thing always could be.....Mr. Patel delivering the mail.

We wish him all the best in his well deserved retirement!

We will miss him.

‘Guess it’s just gonna have to be email.

A grateful Asten House resident.
