Allergy Medicine Heist on 2nd Ave.; Anti-Semitic Assault on 4 Train

On Tuesday, June 10, at approximately 7:33pm, an unidentified individual entered the CVS at 1396 Second Ave. Not one to be frustrated waiting for a store employee to help him, the suspect employed his own key to unlock the display cabinets and remove approximately 24 packages of Zyrtec allergy medicine valued at approximately $1,196.
The clever thief concealed the medicine and fled on foot westbound on East 72nd Street toward Third Avenue. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Anti-Semitic Hate Crime on the 4 Train
Manhattan DA Alvin L. Bragg Jr. announced the indictment of Woki Massaquoi on June 26 for allegedly making anti-Semitic remarks while attacking a 38-year-old woman onboard the 4 train.
On April 29, 2025, the victim, who was on her morning commute, and Massaquoi both boarded a northbound 4 train at the Grand Central – 42nd Street station.
Prosecutors said at approximately 7:50am, as the train traveled between the 59th Street and Lexington Avenue and 86th Street and Lexington Avenue stations, Massaquoi, unprovoked, approached the victim from behind and slapped the victim’s coffee from her hand.
As she did so, Massaquoi made anti-Semitic remarks, including, stating in substance, “white Jew bitch.”
Massaquoi then punched the victim on the left side of her face and pinned her to the ground of the train car, causing the victim bruising, swelling and pain to the face.
It’s unclear how Massaquoi identified the victim as Jewish.
When the train pulled in to the 86th Street station, the victim got off and flagged down the conductor, as an eyewitness called 911. Within minutes, NYPD Transit Bureau officers arrived on the scene and arrested Massaquoi. The victim was transported to the hospital.
Massaquoi is charged with two counts of Assault in the Third Degree as a Hate Crime and one count of Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree.
Interestingly, Woki Massaquoi appears to be a photographer, with an active Instagram account featuring her work, which often focuses on Black and Hispanic street life.
Further, it’s confirmed that Massaquoi has an outstanding elder assault case against her from June 2024, when she was arrested by 28th Precinct cops in Harlem.
Massaquoi pled not guilty, was released without bail, and now her next scheduled court appearance, on Sept. 4, will address both assault cases.
